How we work

Our Approach

The Africa Governance Centre's work and engagements are grounded in open-minded, innovative, independent, and peer-reviewed inquiry, reflecting a diversity of perspectives. Our programs address topics such as innovations in public service delivery, human rights, economic development, natural resources and extractives frameworks, institutional structures, political leadership, government machinery, and sustainable development. Our work maintains a nonpartisan stance, and our positions are independent of our funding sources.

The Africa Governance Centre's objectives include:

Producing knowledge that critically examines the impacts of current socioeconomic and political governance systems, and promoting systemic change aimed at achieving just outcomes and inclusive development.
